Hey ABS Vario users!

Last week I was looking for a summer "back" for my vario so that I could use my 50L on some hiking trips. Got a little guy coming (Tucker Timberlake!), so the DH mtn biking & rock crawling might turn into some more hiking for a few years... all good, I needed some cardio anyhow :D

SO, I called snowbigdeal for one, got to talking & they told me to look at the new Arva bags.

If you've got a vario, and you're wanting to get another size pack, and also basically get a summer back pretty much free from the deal... these are awesome!

They're a whole pack in themselves, but since it's compatible with the vario, you're basically getting one or the other for free (costs less than ABS stuff would)

I've got a Sledder 5L pack for riding, then a 50L for when we go to Vagabond ranch or other similar "camping-ish" stuff, and I strap the 5l on the back of the big one & leave the big one. The Arva pack adds a 18L pack & a summer back to the mix... really makes the vario a bit more year round versatile.

The package I got from SBD today... stoked!!!!

Sorry if this is a little spammy, but I'm pretty involved in the "avy gear" world & had no idea these packs even existed, so thought I'd share!

Thanks! Is the base unit as comfortable as the Vario? For me, the Vario is the most comfortable pack I've ever had.

Tip for the little one. I searched and searched for a comfortable child carrier backpack. Check out the LittleLife Voyager S2.

I haven't tried it with a load yet, but it seems comfy.

Abby is a Teacher, so we've got just about everything we'll ever need given to us already... we've had to give away some stuff that was given to us we've received so much!!

The carrier we got is an REI model, looks like it might MAYBE have been used once. Free was JUST the right price for us!!:face-icon-small-win We'll see how it does!
