Gawd help 'ya if one of the metal cleats broke loose at high speed as they were prone to do. I knew a guy, back in the day, who had his ankle broken when a cleat came thru the side of the tunnel and whacked his ankle.

or even worse it one broke loose and came through the seat
Man, you need hip boots to wade thru all the BS in that ad.
Those old Cats had a metal cleated track.
About 3/4" wide steel channel, about 14-15 inches long. Dozens of them were pop riveted to the 4" wide webbed belts that made the circumference of the track.
That motor is a 399CC Kohler fan, likely had a Tillotson HR carb. I googled for specs but couldn't find horsepower, but likely its about 30HP on a good day.
100MPH?? I doubt that. Maybe 60+/-with a tail wind.
And sleds of that day didn't steer the best either.

One days riding, and expect several hours replacing cracked or broken cleats. And you neeed a pneumatic pop rivet gun to do it right.
Ahhhh, the ol' sleddin' days.
I never wanted a Cat back then, just for that reason alone.
