There is a 380 page study by a group called the "National Petroleum Council" ...

I am not familiar with this group or what their affiliations are, but I'm going to read this ..

I dbout any of you will care to read a 380 page report on this, but it might shed some light on some of the questions we've all been asking.

I'll post the cliff notes when I'm done with it in a few days

They are a Federal Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Energy

I would be interested to see what they have to say.
I generally take these kinds of studies with a grain of salt though.

hard truth, inconvenient truth, just catchy titles.
Always look at who is paying for the study, then you may see a reason why the study was done and from what political point of view.

The federal government paid for the study. The committee is approximately made up of the following industries/members:

35% - Oil and Gas Background
15% - Goverment
10% - NGOs
20% - Acidemia
10% - Consultants and Finanical Backgrounds
10% - Other

Not a bad cross-section, but you know what they say somtimes about too many cooks spoiling the stew.
