Here
is a photo of a cougar killed 5 miles west of Hermosa , SD. The guy
who shot it is 6 foot tall and weighs about 220 lbs.
He
was in a deer stand and saw the cat pass him downwind. He then saw it pass him
upwind.
When
the cat passed him again (closer this time) downwind, he knew that it was
hunting him.
So,
boom. After viewing this do you feel safe in the woods?

hey D, if you ride an arctic cat you don't have to worry. cause were all brothers under the skin:)

Man T/A...that's one big kitty !!

I don't fear griz..I fear mountain lions and moose !!!

Those darn cats are sneaky :)

That is one BIG cat! WOW.....I haven't ever even seen a pic of one that big before. That thing is huge. Good thing the guy didn't become dinner.

LMAO, for the last 2 years I've been getting that same picture in emails saying it was killed in : Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, etc., does anyone know for sure where it was killed ????????????

update to story:confused:
"The circulated photograph was actually featured in the fall issue of the Boone and Crockett Club's magazine, Fair Chase," says KDWP Information and Education Section Chief Bob Mathews. "The lion had been taken earlier in the year within an hour's drive of Seattle, Washington."

This email hoax first began when it was said to have been taken near Harrisburg, Penn., according to Boone and Crockett's magazine. Since then, the KDWP website feedback email has received dozens of messages claiming it was taken in Alabama, Montana, Texas, and Wyoming, as well as Leon.

The Trophy Watch section of the Boone and Crockett Club's web site and a thread posted on the message board of the 24 Hour Campfire web site by Jim Hackewitz, one of the men who participated in the hunt, provided additional information about the mountain lion — it was taken by Roy Hisler of Duval, Washington, in the central Cascades near Bellevue, Washington, on 22 December 2002; it weighed 190 pounds; and Jim Hackewitz, who is pictured holding it, is 5'10" tall:
Well here is an exceptional lion killed using a predator call this afternoon. We actually took him home whole and weighed him at the fish Hatchery scale in town, he was 190 pounds. The Skull is 15-12/16 which makes him tied with 5 others skulls for 6th place over all.

Shot with a 30/06 and 165 grain bullet one time!

holy crap! That is my hood!!

I like the fact that it says they used a call... the whole being stalked by a cat was kind of scary.

Where does all the bs stories come from anyways?

Big kitty

There is another picture going around of a very large cougar dragging a very large buck deer by the back of the neck past a tree stand, it was taken by a game camera. The same claims of where it was taken accompanied the picture. About a month ago they did a story on it on one of the hunting channels, the picture originated in Texas, if I can find the pic i will post it. Pics like these have convinced me that I will no longer go up in the Hills without a sidearm.
