Wow, if you can honestly say that the market swing of today is solely based off of the election, not a WORLDWIDE recession, and find the quote from a credible source of your current president saying he wants the market to go down so that world markets fail everywhere, please post away. Slum housing.
Gutted the military. There are already some calls for 25% cuts in military spending.
runaway inflation.
outragious interest rates.
Highest tax rates in US history.
They were on cloud 9.
And it only took them 30 years and 2 generations to try again.
Oh yea, that was during the 3 hour wait to get 4 gallons of gas also.
certainly not solely based on the election; but it certainly affects market behavior. I imagine if the market were up 500 points then the media and team obama would say that it is an indication of wall street embracing the change message and hope associated with BO in the whitehouse.
We will not hear many negative things about BO from the media for a long time as they were instrumental in his election. I don't think anyone could deny that BO was treated with kid gloves my the media and he was a media darling. Note: I do not consider folks like Rush Limbaugh part of the media, he is an entertainer and he has admitted so.

Don't be so sure about that.
They loved Clinton also, but controversy equal rating and selling papers and they need that more than Obama. The Media at large took a major credit hit over this and their rating show it. Now they will try to get back in the good graces of the public. All they have to do is say they were duped just like everyone else.
The free ride isn't over yet, but it will be if he doesn't deliver and deliver soon after his reign starts.
