I'm sure the dealer you buy it from would supply you with a letter at no charge, make it part of the original deal. BRP is trying to stall out on supplying those letters, but legally they have to issue them when requested.
good luck getting a recall letter form them. I tried for a few weeks and then gave up when my sled got stolen.
BRP has changed their policy and will no longer give out the recall letters for free. You have to order one from a local dealer and they can charge whatever they feel like charging you. I had two dealers completely ignore my request for a price on the letter.
This is how thye plan on preventing people from importing sleds. No recall letter means no RIV approval which means you cannot register the sled in Canada.
I am pretty much done with BRP because of the way they treat customers. IMO, they make the best sleds but I probably won't buy another one.
