Help with picking a suspension.

I am having a hard time picking a new suspension for my 04 144 switchback 700that is my trail sled as i have 2 other sleds for the deep. I know i am spending to much on it but it was my first sled and i cant part with it so now is the time to make it better! Cost is not a problem as it worth it to me. It stays on the trail most of the time when my flatlander freinds come out after i get them stuck a few times!! So what i want is the best ride i can get with some off trail stuff some times. I am looking at team fast air wave m10 - ez ryde and some others. Would like to try new nextech from carbonsled but cant find any any one with seat time on it. So any help you can give me on pros and cons of some of the different ones out there would be great.

See if you can find a deal on the "older" style Holz. I had it in my D7 and really liked it. IMO, spending $2500 on an EZRyde or Alpha is wasting money because of the limitations you have with suspension travel on that chassis anyway (don't flame me Edge owners, I had one too and it was great...10 years ago). I bet you could pick up a used or cheap Holz setup somewhere. I see them in the swapmeet from time to time.

Another option is to bring a complete skid across from another machine. Something that has good suspension to start with and might be part of a part out project.

That skid is actually pretty good for a trail sled...

If you got some better shocks for it, took it apart, grease it with some good synthetic grease (like Redline CV-2 that you can get at NAPA) it will work amazingly well for you.

No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Carl's can dial you in with a great set of Fox shocks for that at a reasonable price.

You all gave me some good things to think about. So now i will have to do some more thinking. Thanks for the help.
