Help, with Mountain Max motor question

I replaced my water pump seal(# 4 on the microfiche/seal behind the impellar) on my 02 Mountain Max 700.

I also removed the oil seal (#5)that is behind the water pump, and water pump seal. My question is, since I removed the oil seal (#5) do I have to purge the air out of the oil system???

No you dont. The oil pump feeds the chamber for the impeller shaft and when it builds up to a certain level it drains over to the PTO side of the case.
