Help with handling questions on my 05 Switchback 900

Hi guys. I'm looking for a few ideas as to how I can increase the steering agility on my sled. I know that it's a long track, but I should be able to have a smaller turning radius than a battleship in the woods. My buddy has an '06 900 and has wider skis on it. Will that make a difference? The suspension is set up with the big boy springs and a newer shock (Fox I believe). Any input you can give me would be appreciated.

What is your actual problem? Is the sled physically hard to steer? Or it wont actually turn properly when you move the bars?

If it has original sidehiller skis, dump them and get newer rmk skis or sly dogs or most any other ski. Had them on my 900, terrible handling! Wider is better for heavy sled! Good luck!

Definately upgrade the skis if you're running stockers.

These are the common needed to do things for the 900's to make the steering easier. 06's were a tad bit better than 05's however both are terrible in the handling department with stock components.

1) Holz Spindles like SASK recommended. The geometry of the 05's were the worst of all the IQ's. Holz fixed this. they are worth every penny.
2)Next is to replace the front skid shock spring from the factory 160 lb to a 225 lb spring. This helps by equalling out the mass of the 900 in the front end. Here is a link

These would all be must have items if I still owned a 900.
