help with clutch offset

Need some help with clutch off set......2012 pro rmk bulkhead....1100 par motor....just put new primary on and using a 2008 team polaris secondary. using the polaris tool lwt47477....no shims behind secondary...sliding secondary all the way in so it bottoms on the bearing the tool won't slide past the front of secondary. I can just pull the bar a little and it will slide down. The bar as it touches the secondary perfect front and back but seems like i can get it inward far enough. Any thoughts.....thanks.

motor plate

I had to machine 3/16 off the back of my secondarys to get alignment and float . The motor plate puts the engine further to the mag side. 150 miles on belt and looks good. Did this to the tss04 and tied.

That's what i did....took just enough material off to let the tool slide down.....no shims behind sec. and took some shims off sec bolt/retainer to allow for about .040 float outward. Thanks

Did you set it up so you had any inward float?thanks.

Might have a hair inward float, 60 thou out. What i've noticed on this engine with the extra mounts is the engine pulls back fairly even under load , not the typical twisting. I have very little belt dust and zero black marks on clutches. I use the team offset bar.

g-it; What is the offset measurement on that tool. Team says the Cat and Poo uses the same bar but when I check my Poo with the Cat tool it is 55 thou out from where the SLP tool aligns it lol.

Set it with the Cat tool and pulled my first string in 30 miles (900 on the belt). Could be just "s**t happens and it was time.
I also have no room for shims using the SLP tool on a stock '13. Which is why I tried the Cat tool lol.

1.45 offset on the team bar.

Thanks. Funny eh. 1 ride at 1.45 and pull string (outside), 27 rides at 1.395 and no probs (both with 60 thou. float).

Funny too lol, My PC belt temps cooled down at 1.40 compared to 1.45. Must be the way I clutch with low engagement and soft secondary.

offset

I would be more inclined to think its from the solid motor mount plate and two extra mounts that the 1100's are using helps keep things more inline. Also found not to set the offset bar right to the bottom of the pc as there is a slight ridge there. [ on mine anyway. new pc]
