Help! where do I place my single Prope EGT

I just got my koso single prope egt. Im not sure where exactly i should mount it. It says to just mount it 4 to 6 inchs from piston skirt. Im thinking the pto side about 4 1/2 inches away. I have a 2007 m1000 bmp single exhaust, ported motor, h/c head. Just looking for some imput from people that are already using them or know something about them. Thank you for any help you can give.

Has anyone put single prope egts on their sled? Please just looking for a little advice

i put mine 2 1/2 inches downstream of the junction of the pipe/y-pipe.....i use a bd fuel controller to get egts 1325-1350 on a long pull....
