Help! Summit X Running Problem

I am new to this site but have been told if anyone has any ideas it will be here. I bought a 99 Summit X that had a stuck piston and had sat for over a year. I rebuilt it from the crank up. It idles great and runs up on the stand, but you put it down and ride it and it seems to run out of fuel in 300 ft or so. Let it sit and idle and the same thing happens again. I have tried different jetting, float heights/levels, all sorts of stuff. I was told the DPEM can get stuck or corroded, is this a possibility? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Did you rebuild the fuel pump? Also look for a blocked/kinked tank breather. Does it go away if you loosen the gas cap?

I did not rebuild the fuel pump, but if I remove a line while the machine is running there is a excellent stream of fuel shooting out of the line. Not to say that still couldn't be the problem. i haven't tried removing the cap while the problem occurs, I will give that a shot. Thanks for the ideas!
