HELP Rumble Pack Warranty

I bought my sled with a rumble pack on it and last season the upper baffle broke inside. Sled is an 06 summit X 800. It looks like a huge washer sliding around on the upper part of the noise defuser. I sent it into hi performace engineering (a large dealer for sno stuff) on there recomendation and now they are telling me that they need to know the original purchaser, name, location, reciept...Etc. I dropped a line to the guy I bought it from but have not heard back yet.

Does anyone know how to get this repaired under warranty? Also you might want to check to make sure yours is not broken as well. Pull the can off and shake it. Mine rattled like a sob. I think it made it ear peircing loud when the body came out of the snow....

Sounds like it's prob out of warranty(more then a year old) and you were not the orig buyer so that doesn't help either.

You're wasting you time trying to fix an obnoxious loud POS that loses power.

You might want to read the posts on Loud Exhausts.

Thanks backcountrybob, Maybe you will take my loud POS and trade me for an SLP. How does that sound. I read the loud pipe forum....I dont have enough free cash to buy a better pipe. I will trade mine for an SLP though.

Anyone else know how I can get this thing fixed? Has anyone drilled a whole for access then welded the problem and sealed the hole before?
