I don't know if this is a new one or not but i threw a belt under full throttle tonight. Put the new belt on the sled did not seem right it would rev up but it did not seem that the track was spinning normal like the power was not transfering to the track i thought maybe it was in my head tell i came to a stop and the can started blowing blue fire out of it so i went about 10 more miles and stopped and again the can was pouring blue flames out of it again the engine does not bog or miss.. does anyone have a clue of what is going on the sled is a 2012 assault with 750 miles on it i have some poor pictures and a video if i can figure out how to post them i will. It is still under warranty but i would like to try and diagnose it.

Yea, that's Caused by extra Fuel still in the can, and burning up!

Well your probably riding it on Very low snow conditions, getting hot,

I am guessing that you saw this after a long time being on the gas, and you stopped for a break.

It normal!

Wait for more snow to ride!

..

Temps were never over 125 and the ditches are full of snow. Is there anyway something else could be wrong the sled just does not feel right after i blew the belt.

Check your clutches for pieces of belt material in them. Quite often you will get material wrapped around where you can't really see it easily.

Your running the NON-eth. Plug..

While still running 10% Eth. Fuel!!!!! plug.

Where you getting your fuel????????????

...

Its 91 from BP in Springvalley i guess i kinda firgured it was fuel coming out of the can but did not know why guess i was just kind of hoping i would explain why after putting the new belt on it didnt seem right i am gonna pull the belt of clean the clutches up make sure there is no debris in there and take it from there

crank seal

i would remove the primary clutch and carefully inspect crank seal for damage. The belt that blew up could have wrapped some cords around the crankshaft behind the primary and took your seal out.....do not ride untill you inspect. Or, like stated above, you have shrapnel in the clutch(s).

Was that the factory new belt? If so, 750 miles is normal. If not check clutch alignment. I'd check it anyway. Also check for broken springs.

...

Bare with me im not very good at explaining things im also not a top notch mechanic. I pulled the secondary clutch off to clean it first i used the l wrench in the kit to loosten it than took the belt off i pulled the clutch off and i can freely spin it back and forth and it does not go back on its own does this mean the spring is screwed up? or a chunk of belt is in there?

...

yea i had the tool out i don't know what the deal is with im taking it tommorow to get it pulled apart. thanks for the help though this website is a huge help for people to ask questions.

Take the secondary all apart and inspect spring/helix/washers. Look at the primary as well. Like stated above, you are going to want to take off the primary anyway to inspect the crank seal. This would be a good time to disassemble the primary, inspect and clean it. Put every thing back together and check the clutches for alignment. Also, when your clutches are off, look at the motor mounts and make sure nothing is messed up there either.

Everthing else aside i have never seen a sled blowing blue fire out of the exhaust like that EVER.
