help on installing handwarmers

hey i just got an 07 800r and the handwarmmer wires were ripped so i picked up some new and warmers but the stock ones had one black wire and 2 reds and the new ones have 2 blacks... i tried them with both reds to one and the black to the other and this seems to work fine but is this the best way to do it?????? any help appreciated

My new ones were similar ( two yellow and a purple). you should figure out which is common ground for them, there is two different elements in there. one for low and both for high. just hook up one then common one (gound) to the black (ground) in the sled and the others to which ever. You just have to figuere out by feel which postion on the switch is high/low.
The way you have they'll just be high all the time i would think.
