Help needed

So a buddy of mine has bought an 05 with a bad crank and piston. They were replaced and now it is back together but will only idle.

Does anyone know what would cause it to die out when pushing the throttle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, so my bad....I thought it ran, but does not. It starts and then slowly acts as though it is running out of gas. Could this related to the system needing to be primed?

I do not have the sled at my access, otherwise I would check this myself.

yes the fuel system should be primed or it will do that for a bit.

Like it has been run out of gas..prime or keep pulling...It should run shortly.

Double check the connections on the fuel tank. I didn't prime mine after installing my engine and it started and idled just fine after 3 pulls. I did not have my injectors off the engine. it may have to be primed if they were disconnected from the engine. Check the sticky at the top of the forum that says how to links for the priming proceedure. Also check the safety switch on the throttle lever.
