Help needed adjusting skis

I have replaced my Spindles with HRP and my skis with Powder Pros. What is the best way to set alignment, toe, and camber utilizing standard household tools.

Can I base the alignment off the track and handlebars using a straight edge and then the camber and toe by raising it off the ground?

Any help or recommendations would be appreciated...basically, how do you guys do it?

I did not have to separately adjust the camber after I installed HRP spindles - there was no adjustment left in the bolts after fit up. The directions indicated a camber value, and it was close after bolt up. For ski alignment, I set an 8ft, 2" x 1" bar up tight to the track and set the ski alignment to the track, measuring from the ski to the bar (center the bar so that it protrudes far enough forward to cover the skis). This way the skis are "in line" with the track. Sometimes you may have to unbolt the tie rod ends from the spindle, and center the steering bar, then set the ski alignment, then reconnect the tie rods.

But that is in the shop. In the field I have had to align the skis by eye (never happen to carry a ruler). So practice the operation and after time, this operation and how a proper alignment feels will come natural. I am glad you cared to inquire about this important task. There were people in the Iron Dog trail ride last year that, because they had no clue as to the importance of ski alignment, they pushed on with ugly toe out conditions and paid the price. Hope this helps.
