Help me WYO boys! Drew Antelope unit 48.

Help me WYO boys! UPDATE WITH PICS!! Thanks Supplicate!

Drew unit 48-2 tag, and honestly have no extra time to scout for antelope. If anyone knows this area at all and can give me some good starting points that would be awesome!

UPDATE :) : Thanks for the area suggestion supplicate, we had alot of other hunts that were ahead of this on my list so i knew i wouldn't have much time to scout for it. I was able to sneak away Tuesday night, and after 4 days of looking over many antelope i finally decided to put the sneak on this one, Belly Crawled for 150 yards to a ditch, then got in the ditch and and snuck up to within 70 yards, dropped him in his tracks. He is tall but his cutters a both broke, don't know how that happend. He is the 2nd biggest one i saw.. The fish cop said he was extremely old and on the decline, he had barely anything left on his teath, thanks for the heads up! it was a fun and relaxing hunt.

park the truck on the side of the road and shoot... there are more antelopes than birds down that way...

haha thats the kinda advice i need phatty. Thats kinda what i was thinkin though, i'm not gonna be real picky on an antelope, if it looks fairly decent it is gonna get the 30-378 sending a 168 grain Berger through it! Thats gonna be some interesting damage:o

Mak i have been trying to find pics of this bull you are talking about. Is this the bull that they have been calling the spider bull. Do you know where i can find pics. Thanks.

edit:

just looked at the regs, its been a long day.

as for 48, your best bet is to head due north from Hanna towards the Miracle Mile. The turn is in the middle of town, isn't too hard to find.

Once you get past the mine, start looking for a left hand turn that will take you up into a public section of land (was public last time I was up there anyway). There are speed goats like you wouldn't believe up there, not many people go back into this area.

Depending on when you come out this way (I'm in Rawlins right now) I might be able to come out with you in an afternoon/evening and show you where I'm talking about. I can at least show you on a map when you get out here. and BTW, you'll be time and money ahead to stay in saratoga rather then Rawlins with the boom here the cheapest room you'll find is $80 a night.

Hey WYO boys, why dont you run some of your elk into Idaho while youre at it! Oh and we will trade you some wolves...good deal??

I guess you Idaho people haven't ever heard of the 3 s's Shoot, Shovel and SHUT UP. I heard there was about 10 wolves running around on the Bighorns the next day a group from town went and had a rather successfully day "coyote" hunting. LOL! :D:D:D

The spider bull is an absolute monster, but there are more people watching than you would ever imagine, the thing is practically tame right now. He will die opening morning, utah still has probably upwards of 100 bulls over 400 still in the state, they just have to be found, i have located 3 this year.

Yea, that is bigger than I already have so that would be fine. Oh, by the way....it has to be taken with a bow so I can keep my streak alive (27 bulls in 27 years with bow).

:)

Lucky you. The area I am in is ok. Lots of people anymore, makes it hard to find them at times. There are some nice bulls running around. I just don't alwasy have that great of luck.
