Help! M8 starts but won't stay running....

It doesn't stay running long enough to display any codes. The tach/speedo needle is pinned at max, something it's never done before. I had unplugged the dash to install an AMP milled tilt unit, so don't know if that had anything to do with it. Prior to that it started up without fail. It had been a few days since I'd started it, and I didn't try starting it after installing the AMP part.

Nothing to do with the guage. Unless you pinched a wire. Not running any guage on my o9. Only difference is rectifier size. You could go without a guage also with a resistor kit. Don't have your solution though, sorry. Probably check off the guage idea though.

How much fuel is in the tank? Sounds like it might be smart valves shutting off the gas. If it's very close to empty try putting some more in.

I got called out for a S&R Mission so had just topped it off with 110. (Want to get there quick ) yanked her to run it into the trailer, and was denied. Is there someway I can check this valve?

Remove the metal plate on the front of the steering support, find the connector that goes to the fuel pump and apply power. 12V You should be able to hear the fuel pump. If you do, disconnect the fuel line comming out of the tank and put a hose on it to run to a container apply the 12V again and see if fuel comes out If it doesn't that would be a smart valve prob. Sometimes they do stick closed when they are activated. If fuel does come out it should run and stay running.
I have also had this same thing happen - sled fired and quit, Pulled till I thought I was gonna die. Put in a new set of plugs and fired up on the first pull. Try this before the fuel pump thing.
Hope this helps!

Dirty injectors, pull them out and clean with carb cleaner
