Help! M6 just wont run right

my friend has an 05 m6 efi all stock with an mbrp can. when idling to WOT, it takes off, bogs down a little, goes again, bogs down, and then it goes. couldn't really tell untill the can was put on cause then we could hear it. Ive been told its fat, lean, and its the can, but havent had any solutions except remove the can. Need help please. SH
