Help I'm Still Flashing

2005 900 166 / SLP Perf Kit

So I fianlly got enough real estate to keep my sled going and count the flashes on the Check Engine light, without hitting a tree.

It flashes 4 times / stops / flashers 4 times until you stop.

Sled run's good. If you stop it will quit flashing till you get going again.
It takes maybe a minute of riding before it starts flashing again.

What does it do and where is it at ?

What effects does this have on the engine ?

I didn't verify 4 blinks is a Baro sensor malfunction but if it is, that would suck because the Baro sensor is located INSIDE of the ECM. Meaning that the ECM (computer) would have to be replaced. Does it blink all the time or is it intermittent?

The Baro sensor information is what the computer uses for fuel mixture outputs to to the fuel injectors. So as you change altitude, the computer can compensate the amount of fuel being injected.

You've verified that 4 blinks is Baro Sensor in the chart?

I believe these are the codes.. Looks like you are right, if it is in fact only 4 flashes..

X2 ^^^ Sounds like the ECU will need to be replaced.
