Normally, I don't do mass e mails, but my friend in AZ posted this to her Myspace bulletin, and it really struck me, and I want to get the word out about this, because there is no excuse or reason for this.
In 2007, the "artist" Guillermo Vargas Habacuc took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death. He called this art.
For several days, the "artist" and the visitors of this exhibition watched emotionless, the shameful "masterpeice" based on the dog's agony, until, eventually, he died.
But that's not the end of it. The prestigious Visual Arts Biennal of Central America decided that the installation actually was "art", so now Guillermo has now been invited to the Biennial to repeat this cruel action in 2008.
PLEASE HELP STOP HIM
Click on this link to sign the petition to the head of the Biennial, and hopefully stop him. It is free of charge, and takes less than a minute to possibly save the life of an innocent creature.

Like I said, I don't normally buy into these mass e mails, but after I saw this, I couldn't help myself. Please forward this to everyone that you can. Hopefully, a difference can be made.
Thanks,
Lee
