Help fast! need to know how Klim Freeride pants fit?

Long story short, I can get a brand new Valdez jacket and Freeride pants for half price but need to choose the sizes tomorrow.

I hear their sizing is sorta odd.
I usually wear a XL jacket, but have tried on the Valdez recently and seem to need a 2-XL in that jacket.

I've been told that the pants are the opposite, and they run big.
My friend that usually wears a MED snow pants just bought a pair of Freerides and had to get SMALL...

I wear a 38-32 in Carhartt's. Can anyone tell me weather I should get a LARGE or XL in the Freerides?

I don't think there's going to be any place open tomorrow where I could try some on. I usually wear an XL in snow pants but am afraid I may need LARGE with these?

Huh, for some reason I can only see the sizing chart for Small and XS. Perhaps you'll have better luck?

I usually wear a 36x30 in jeans, I wear a large in the Freeride pants. They're a little longer than required (probably a real 32), but I don't notice it and they don't drag on the ground.

I would guess you'll want an XL by the time you add your layers underneath.

All I'll be wearing under them will be some thermals like the inferno's maybe.

The length sounds perfect for me, do you think the waist would adjust out another inch or two from where you have them? I'm a small 38 really close to a 36 actually.

I am a 36 34 and i just got the free ride pants in large, they fit me perfect. They also have some adjustment in the waist so i would think you should be fine with the large

Is there enough adjustment left in yours that you could go bigger still?

When i got them i adjusted them in around 2 inches to get them to fit me. I'm pretty sure there was some more play out than that as well so you should be ok. Sorry I cant double check for you, my gear is stored with my sled about an hour away from where i live. My opinion, go with the large.

Strange that their sizes are like that.
With the Valdez jacket I need a 2-XL where I'm usually just an XL in other jackets/shirts.

I'm 6'1'' and 235. The Valdez fit me well but on the tight side in XL so since I wear a Tek-Vest underneath I think the 2-XL will be great.

Hope I decided right on the pants...
