Help!!! dpm and clutching

I am a flatlander and going to try out some mountain riding this year. I have an 06 skidoo 800 ptek with dpm all stock. Will someone please explain to me how this dpm works and what i have to do to get this sled to run good at higher altitudes. also, what do i need to do to the clutch?

dpm will automatically adjust.for your clutch it depends on your elevation but all you need to do is change pin weights in your primary. if your over 8000ft you will also have to change your clicker.

Maybe the ZX clutches are different but I never mess with the pin weight, just change the clickers till you got it running the way you want it to.

If your sled is an 06 summit who gives a shat about the clutches. Stock summit setups in '06 were the best overall. Just adjust the three clickers on your TRA primary to run 7900 to 8100 RPM. That is all you are gonna have to do. Have fun and ride safe!

i have my 06-159x and we run hollow pins and stock clutching and it rips--best out of the box sled ever for doo--dpm will do the altitude changes for you--

You need to pull primary clutch apart and remove the set screws out of the inside of the roller ends,if they are still in. If you need more help send a pm. Good luck
