Help, Check Engine Light 2012 RMK Pro

It seems to run just fine, but the check engine light is on (top left engine sign with a ! mark).

When I slow to an idle it goes away. Also the lights seem to dim and flicker a bit at idle.

The Machine is a 2012 RMK Pro 163, no electric start - bone stock.

I tried the IQ computer reset (pull it three times with the key off), no difference.

I don't think it was even down on power, seemed to run just fine, starts on first pull.

Its headed to the shop, but I always like to have a good idea of what is going on before I get it back (Snow Check Machine, but with normal colors).

Call this a stupid question, but did you check the code as outlined in your manual?

Possible moisture in one of your connections? I had issues from the boot on my tps connector coming loose and getting water in it.

I should read that manual someday.

Don't know if it would have told me the info, but the dealer replaced the exhaust valve solinoid to fix the problem.

So either my riding ability is such tha I can't feel the difference of the exhaust valve, or it doesn't make much difference for normal riding...
