Help, camper lights keep frying.

I have a 98 Terry travel trailer. It has two 12 volt batteries in the front that you hook up as a series. The damn thing keeps frying interior lights. I will stick a new light bulb in a light socket and then zap it is fried. On other sockets the lights will last maybe 15 min and then they burn out.

Any ideas?

the batteries should be hooked up in parallel. I'm assuming that the light bulbs are rated for 12v. Hooking them up in series you are applying 24v to the system.

hmmmm...sounds like an issue beyond the average dimmwit...hope someone bright can shed a light to get you out of the darkness you feel...in the meantime just pretend those bulbs frying are the commie bast@rds

ahhhh I knew it! My dad kept telling me to do it the series way! Now I have a battery post that is welded to the wire! Thanks for the lesson....LOL. Obviously I am a terrible electrician.

I figured that you wired your tazer inline.
