help building a turbo kit

Im getting a older turbo kit off of a 900 cat. I want to put it on my 900 rmk.

The sled is a 2005 900 rmk with slp pipe, boondockers box with nitrous option an a wide band gauge.

This is what i want to do.........

tune and clutch the sled to turn 7,600rpm with the turbo bolted on with the waist gate wide open.

richen the sled up so it will only turn 7,200-7,400 rpm. (waist gate still open)

Use electronic controles, (run off the nitrous part of my boondockers box) to close the waist gate at 7,100-7,300rpm at wide open throttle.

my goal would be to run what ever boost pressures needed to get my air/fuel gauge to read good, and let the sled turn 8,200 rpm or so.

any thoughts?

Im trying to keep this simple and have nitrous like power but use a turbo so its never ending...

You need a fuel controller that has a map sensor and ramps up the fuel with boost. A nitrous controller will not work well at all.

Ok. If I were to do it do u think I could get the sled to run ok if I hook it all up and leave waist gate open? Just to drive the sled off boost

You would need to pull fuel some way, either by turning down the fuel pressure or a controller. The turbo will choke the intake and exhaust causing it to run rich off the bottom, then there's still potential for a pound or two of boost, but it should still run. If your going to wire the wastegate open you might as well leave it stock, it will run better.
