Ok not a RT1000 guy helping a friend out runs and starts fine for about 5min WOT is good about to load it up and nothing. Then it fires a touch as you pull the rope but not enough to start.

Come back in the morning starts 5min does the same thing runs good then nothing.

Replaced battery fuel pumps were put in last year new and ran good sat over summer and now doing this.

Any help I have not even been by the sled just going off what my buddy told me.

Thanks

Verify that the battery has at least 12.6 volts with the engine off. These RT's will NOT run right without a perfect battery. Also, fill gas tank to the cap, this more or less bypasses the low pressure fuel pump. The pump is a POS, I've had two fail back to back. I finally replaced mine with a Napa part# E8012S which is a Chevy 6.5 diesel lift pump. The original is made by Facet and they are junk. Also, check the connectors to the low press pump as they've been known to fall out of the connector and the one on the left side frame below the instrument panel. Check all fuses, relays, try swapping them, banging them on a hard surface (they get sticky due to their location from snow ingestion)

Not as common, but some of the 05's have had issues with magnets on the flywheel coming off and causing errattic spark issues. The flywheels were updated in 06.

Run the sled on the stand and verify E-rave servo working although this wouldn't cause the engine to die, mostly bog.

The DESS connectors are sometimes an issue...snow ingestion

That's all I can think of now

Are there any check engine lights coming on or beeping noises??

I sent you a PM Dave Thanks allot.

I would bet money it's the pump it has had the pump go out more than once we always top it off even with 1/4 tank left to get it out of the hills.
