Not my machine, but a buddy's - however I had the joy of pulling him out this last weekend, but no complaints cuz I'd want the same favor.
We stopped to take a break and drink some wings and he shut his machine off and thinks he heard a different small squeak right when it stopped but nothing harsh, clunky, or nasty sounding.
When he went to start it, the pull rope just pulled and didn't seem to grab anything. After some thoughts and probably some words we decided to just start it off the primary. Wrapped the rope and gave her a pull and it just spun way to easy. I was standing there then and the primary would just spin freely in both directions not turning the engine at all.
So - I've not owned a Ski Doo till last year and this but logic would tell me there might be a keyway or other attachment either inside or outside the block that mechanically fastens the clutch to the crank.
Is that at all correct?
What are some other ideas?
We are gonna kinda tear into a bit more tonight in the warmth of the shop and I thought I ask for something to pay attention to or look for when we do that tonight.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
