Like it says, I used my reverse yesterday on the trail, it stuck and will not come out. Stock Diamond drive, mostly stock secondary, 3 post primary, 40/36 helix. Is this common? Is there a quick fix I can do in my trailer? The snow in I.P. is amazing and I want to get back up there a.s.a.p. and having my sled sit in a shop for a week or two in the busy season is not a very good option. While we're at it, what would it take to drop a newer diamond drive, with the electronic reverse into an 07? Or would I be better off spending the extra money for a BDX? I'd like to re-gear it to a 57-63. Any help is appreciated.

You can take the servo motor off and physically put it back into drive. Pull or push the arm on the shaft sticking out of the case. If it doesn't quit beeping unplug the back-up beeper and get back out there. Put an 09 case in my 08. Nothing different about the case just the internals. You will not have reverse any longer though.

Shop time.

Sounds like need DD serviced if you have time I know I am a little over an hour drive but I can get you in and out in about an hour. Come see me it is possible that your belt is to tight and putting tension on your drive . Take your belt off and see if it will shift. I have new drives if it gone.

PS we have enough snow for good ride now so if come early you can ride Preston.

buy one of those 20 buck al;aluminum handles and take the electronic shifting mechanism off. Never have a problems shifting and you loose a few pounds.

I had this happen before and it turned out to be a broken shift arm inside the diamond drive. If I remember right a weld broke on the top of the shaft where the arm fits on. I took it apart and welded it back up. If what MM Sports says doesnt work I bet thats what happened.

Thanks for all the input guys. I took it over to Kevin at MMSports and I'm glad I did. Servo motor was bad so there wasn't much else to do except pull the DD and servo etc. to take a look. DD was fine, but I decided to put in a new take off from his M8 and lose a few more pounds. Kevin is an absolutely awesome guy to deal with and I'm very happy with how things have turned out. Now if anyone is in need of an 07 DD with all the updates I have one for sale. Sorry no reverse servo though.
