just got an 06 rev 800 and changed tail light bulb and started it and engine light flashing and beeping---- one short beep and one long beep. I bought the service manual and no help without a VCK. thanks for any help.

Check your electronic key. SOUnds like it is off kilter. If you reseat it and it still beeps post back.
I tried that, no luck
If you have the manual look at page 248 -250 for the fault codes. Unfortunately the beep signal you are getting could mean a whole bunch of different things. Might be a silly question but did you replace the bulb with the exact match, single filament type? If so or not try taking the bulb out and see if it still does it. After that, for peace of mind it is less stress and quicker to have a dealer plug into it and tell you specifically what is not right. Broken TPS wire, TPS out of adjustment or failure, knock sensor fail, etc.....

Yeppers, just took the wifes 06 into the shop for the same, I hate electrical issues.
Could be anything, called my dealer , he walked me through a bunch of possibilitys but still didnt go away. I will let them plug it in, sounds like the best and quickest way to get er fixed. Dino
