Anyone know where I can purchase a tps sensor for an 06 900 rmk? I called one dealer and they said there on back order and another dealer told me they are no longer available. Why would polaris quit having these available? The snowmobile is a boat anchor without it. Please let me know Thanks, Dean

It is the same part as they are using in the 2011 sleds...

I hope they are not disontinuing it... LOL.

Which dealer told you that?

Call Carl's cycles or Tri City Polaris... they can ship you one.

OFTEN... the TPS is not bad, but the harness to it is...

There is an ATV repair harness that works well for this.

I'm sure someone will chime in with part numbers.

Few dealers have them on the shelf

found one

OK, I called a couple of other dealers and it seems that they are on back order until March 4th. I lucked out and found one in Reno (1,1/2 hrs. away). So I should be ok. I checked the TPS and had no voltage at all, so I am assuming that it's bad.
Thanks for the reply's.

x3!
Twice I have had TPS problems, both times it was in the wires close to the sensor.

I used my scan tool from work and graphed my tps sensor. Looked just fine but was out of adjustment. I had the part already and sled ripped apart, so I just changed and adjusted it. Afterwords found V+ and ref wires were broken internally. I cut the wires back and re-attached new wires to the connector. My 900 hasnt worked this good in awhile!

I checked it with a v.olm meter following the example you posted about testing one and pushing the throttle to see if the v.olms increased. Hope thats right. Anyway I installed a new one and found that the connector is bad also. I soldered the wires back into the connector as a temporary fix until I get a new one. By the way thanks for your post on how to adjust a tps and how to build a tps tool. Saved me some $.

I have seen a few that had broken wires in the TPS connector, repaired and or replaced the connector and found the TPS defective as well. I'm always wondering if the TPS loses the ground circuit, that it goes kapoot like other electrical parts do when they lose ground? Sorry, My Brain never stops.
