HELP! 04 rev

I have an 04 rev with a new motor in it and sometime when im riding it wont go past 7000 rmps. I was wondering what causes that, Its really annoying please help

Not enough details...what elevation and such. How many miles on the clutches sence they were cleaned and serviced ? Dino

I had that same problem and im pretty sure it is the knock sensor. when that thing gets set off it wont let you go over 7000 rpms.

My 04 has no knock sensor??? Not that I can find anyway Dino

no knock sensor on that year. check your clicker setting on the primary. those are the three bolts labeld 1-6. roughly 2-400 rpm increase per #. if you are on clicker 1 try clicker 3. when adjusting them just loosen the nut until the bolt head can turn to the desired number and retighten. make sure they are all on the same number. you always have to adjust with elevation change and snow conditions.

Check that your Rave valves functioning properly. If they don't open you rpms will be low.

Sounds like a RAVE valve problem to me. I would check those.
