Hello from Colorado

Hi guys, Im in Colorado and looking to buy my first Sled. It will be primarily for my Wife, she is a 4 time Olympian in Alpine Skiing. She just retired and took a job directing a Race training program for Front Range Kids in the Greater Denver Area. She came to me a couple of weeks ago and says that she needs a Sled for Work(YES)(Thank you Sled gods) but she wants it to work in the back country because we love skiing untracked powder.
Long story short, Im looking at a 06 RMK 600 144"
Its in my price range and I think can do everything we need it to.
Well thats about it for now.
I have not bought the Sled but I am going to go look at it tomorrow.
It is in perfect condition, it seems, What should I look out for?

Thanks

Welcome to the site! I dont want to start a brand war but in that price range a M7 153 would be her best bet for sled access skiing.

I too do not wish to start a flame war, but if reliability is your primary concern I would not suggest a Polaris.

Welcome to the site!

That is a great sled...we had one in our group that passed around as a back up...the only sled that never let us down! I believe a used one would hold its value pretty well (as best as a sled could) if she decided that it wasn't the right sled (for whatever reason).

Have a great winter

Great sled my brother had one til he got a pro RMK the thing ripped and was one of the most reliable sleds i have seen the polaris 600 and 700s are great its the 800 that is the wierd one. hope this helps have a great season!!!!

Polaris 600 RMK is one of the most reliable sleds out there we have two of them and they just keep going. My wife rides an 07 and we have an 08 600 very easy to maintain and easy to ride. goodluck I know where there are some clean ones in montrose.
