helix

Also, what would be a good gearing setup for mostly flat land powder. it is stock 19-39 with a 90 pitch chain, would like to try different gear but keep same chain if possible...

They are hard to find now since team is cutting out on the tss-98 clutch and parts. They have some for the tss-04 but then you would have to get that clutch. They might be able to custom cut one.

I sent in a query to Team on the same helix and this is their response.

"This is a single track cam specific to the 900 RMK. We do not have them catalogued. This would be a custom order, with 2 to 3 weeks lead time.

If you wish to order, email your address and contact info to Chrissy and we can get a custom ordered for you. She will also need credit card info at time of order.

The cost is $109.00 US plus shipping. We only ship UPS to Canada."

When I asked about a twin helix, here was their response.

For the 900, you do not want a twin track. There have been issues with some 900’s with our twin track reverse cuts.

I talk to the team last year and they said they were having that problem in the twin trax because they can not put as deep a cut to keep it in reverse with two track in the helix. The only time they had trouble was in deep heavy snow under a load the sled was popping out of reverse. I have a twin trax and have had no problems ever for two years.

Nice to hear we can still get them cut. Just too bad cannot get a twin trax as would love the option of another angle on it. I too have the twin trax 719 and never had a problem with reverse. Just would like a higher finish on it.

You can check with Boundary RV in Lloydminster as their supplier out of Saskatoon just received a shipment of Helixes, one of which was mine. Twin tracks 66-46-46 ER 66-44-46 ER I think. Will confirm after I pick it up.

Incorrect part shipped. No stock on correct part.

Damn a couple hours too late. I just got a 66-44-.46/70-44-.46 on ebay a couple hours ago non reverse so I would've got the middle one since it has reverse.

Does anyone have any gearing setup for these 900's that work well. i find the 19-39 is just not that great...also what pitch chain to use. what would be a good spring for the secondary with the 66-44-46...

I had 19/42 gears in my 05 900 but I went back to stock 19/39 it just had to much track spin for what I use it for, top speed was about 65-70 mph wide open not good it was geard for the steep and deep for constant rpm, try to pull hard from dead stop just spin where my 700 just left me sitting till I got traction then I was rpmed out, I have my 42 gear if interested, I live by sherwood park, that is my reason to change back
