How many of u massage the helix and secondary so that it goes together easier? How do u do it?

Using a file and some scotchbrite seems to work, but takes a long time.

Everyone has their own methodolgy to get them to cooperate, can't really explain or show in words. I don't have any trouble getting them together, a buddy of mine has tried everything under the sun short of a sledgehammer and can't get it to cooperate. I've found it takes two hands and a slight wiggle of the moveable sheave with constant even pressure on the helix, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle and eventually pops in.

Similar to what I do. I slowly squeeze the sheaves on the same side as the belt deflection screw as I put pressure on helix. What this does is pivot the sheave on the screw till it is parallel with the fixed sheave and the helix drops in easily. A little practice and it only takes seconds to do. Same as removing helix, a little squeeze on the sheaves and a light bang on the table with the post and helix falls out

If you are talking about talking the helix out and putting it back in, we do this all day everyday. Only thing that works is first thing you do is break the 7/16 belt deflection bolt lose and then take you 1/8 Allen head and back it off until it is free..The helix falls out, same for reassembly...hope that what you where asking about..
