Are you going to the north or south Side! Because if you go to the South side You won't NEED them!!:D:D:D:D

bighorns avy becon

thanks we are riding out of bear treelodge for a week then out of albany lodge for a week so i would say we would be on the north side i take it that there not rented so if i was to buy 4 of them would i be able to move them when i got back

probably, but won't you need them for your next trip out west? and what about shovels and probes? beacons by themselves are kind of helpless.

Here is a couple of threads you should read.......Not only should you have beacons, but have the rest of the equipment and know how to use it. You never know, your group may not be the ones who needs the help, you could come up on a group looking for another sledder, at least you could help them out if you have the gear.

Thats just Bear Lodge at Burgess in the norther Horns and Albany is down on the Colorado line in the Snowies. It is a couple of hundred miles betweeen the two, so even if you found a place to rent them you would need to find two different places to do it. You could buy the units, learn how to use them and if you figured you would not be needing them agian, sell them when you got home and it would cost less than renting them for 10 days.
