Heavier weights with HPS can?

I have one and am not running heavier than factory recommended weights for each altitude setup. Pulls 8300 everywhere.

Was recommended that I should run heavier weights with the HPS. Anyone have any experience with this?

I cannot imagine why you would need heavier weights with a muffler only. I am running a Diamond S Titanium Quiet muffler with stock weights for my typical elevation (64 grams). I don't put much stock in horsepower gains claimed by some of the muffler manufacturers. If they hold stock horsepower and you lose considerable weight, you are doing good.

AXYS weights for 10K feet with HPS can

I am running 58s with a HPS can only for 10K feet elevation in Colorado. I originally went with the 60s but my sled was not as snappy compared to my buddy's with 58s so I switched to 58s.

Mufflers rarely add HP... I've heard of no cans that add power to the AXYS.

Dropped weight or changed exhaust note... YES... more power, NO.

I have first hand experience with this. I think HPS claims 4 hp increase with their can I have been told it's actually more then that whether true or not I don't know but I bought the can and was told to go up 2 grams in weight or I would have a bog around 5000 rpm my riding buddies said I wouldn't need to add weight based on their experience with the PROs so I just put the can on and sure enough I had a bog so I switched the weights the next day and It ran fine.

With the Slp trail can I went from 8200 RPM and some change to 8450 RPM

Thanks guys, I switched weights and didn't see an improvement. So I went back to the stock weights (10-64) and it improved but I'm only getting 8100-8150 consistently over 6000ft. ( No bog ) all stock clutching, all stock sled but for the can. Switched back to the stock can to see what it does (haven't tried it yet). Have 560ish miles and 35+ hrs on it 163-3"

Changed can at approximately 100 miles and 17hrs
