Heated helmet plug wired into fuel pump prime plug???

Just out working on putting my Fusion back together and notice that the plug for the heated visor for a helmet is plugged into the fuel pump prime plug? I got the sled second hand and do not ride with a heated shield right now but might sometime in the future. Is this correct or should it be wired in to the accessory plug? I would like to add a battery and a switch to be able to prime the fuel system if I would need it and would like to just plug it in without hacking up any harnesses.

certainly doesn't sound right to me; particularly when you consider the fuel pump prime plug is there to allow one to provide power to the fuel pump to prime it vice providing a power source for a heated helmet.

Thanks for the response, Like I said I have never used it before and come to think of it I used the prime plug before but never paid any attention to what was plugged into it until now. I think I will move it over to the accessory plug and keep the plug on the end of the helmet cord to use for my prime switch so it will plug ring into the prime plug.
