Heat tape?

How many guys are putting heat tape on there chaincase cover when they take the stock silencer off and put a can on?
Just went on my first ride with my skinz on my 2010 d8

The 2009 and 2010 have Magnesium chaincase covers and dont seem to have a heat problem.

It's the super q on a 2010 Rmk, also the can is ceramic coated

does the magnesium chaincase come on all the 2010's? or just the dragons?
I have the 2010 RMK not the dragon.

My 09 rmk came with a magnesium cover from the factory.
