Just finished installing older skidoo heat exchanger, tested with KTM 70c thermostat. -10c when tested on crusty snow, temps running 138f to 156f when running on flat ground 4-5 gear, need to get temps up, thinking of installing a small ball valve to restrict flow and get temps up.
That looks like a sweet installation. All you need to regulate the temp now is a thermo bob with the bypass. They work perfectly. What is that exchanger from?
Thermobob is different because until the stat opens the coolant bypasses the rads and goes right back to the motor. So if you run the 180 deg. stat the motor WILL reach that temp before the stat opens.
