Heat Demon Grips on Axys

I put a set of Heat Demon Grips on my axys a few months ago but cant seem to get them to warm up. Tried to splice them into the original wiring plug to make it easier and wondering if that is the issue. They come with a separate toggle switch but don't want to drill into the plastic to put a new switch in. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong. Just a standard red white blue wire system on the grips for high/low heaters. Figured I could just run the wires the same as the old grips. Let me know if there is something I should check on.
