heard that there was a victom in the west fork

I just talke to a friend that was in the west fork today. He told me when they got back to the parking lot that it was swarming with law enfocement. My friend asked one of the deputies if they were doing training he said no that they had a victom. The deputy would not revile any further information.

I was up there too today. We heard the same thing. Somewhere around Black Butte supposedly. Not alot of snow up there, and what snow there is seems to be very unstable. Probably hear more tomorrow.

West Fork is different than Mt Jefferson

The West Fork is a different area than Mt Jefferson. West Fork is in MT. It appears that there was two avalanches today, one in MT and one in ID.

Got a call today that Black Butte slid. Reported that a Bozeman man was killed. I hope it's not true but it's not looking good.

I have a couple friends from bozeman that went riding today. I know thats one of there favorite spots Im hoping to hear from them soon. Last time I spoke to them they didnt know where they were going today.

The person killed in the avalanche on Mt jefferson was a kid who had only been home from his LDS mission for about a month. He was riding up there with his friends. They found him quickly but was underneath 3 feet of snow and his sled. I know his family very well, they grew up in my Church ward. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
