Headlights and Hand Warmers

Both my headlight and hand warmers went out at the same time on my 2014 pro, taillight and cluster still work however. Anyone else had this problem?

Your voltage regulator may have come unplugged. It's the box attached to the cover above your clutches, in front of the oil bottle. Open the Velcro bag there and make certain it's plugged in. 3 pin plug.

That is AC voltage....

possible culprits

Stator

Connector of stator to harness (easy to check)

Voltage Regulator

Switches connections at the console (easy to check)

Ground bundle where the bumper meets the over-structure. (easy to check if still attached well and not loose)

BTW...Taillight is LED and is powered from the DC part of the ECU regulator. MFD is also powered by this.

If you bulbs are BOTH burnt out... indication that VR has had issues.

If sled runs fine otherwise... you can still use the VR from an older Edge sled to get it working for less $$. (you will not need to replace the expesive 'combo' regulator.

Check plugs on the 3 switches on the console, wish they would change this design. I smash those all the time for some reason.
