I have thought about it and heard somebody offered a kit of sorts.

I want to be able to, if my battery gets fried, hook into on of my riding buddies headlight sockets and draw power to charge the battery. i wouldnt worry if i rode with anyone who had sleds with batteries.

seems like it would be really simple, but im no wiring guy... if i could make something for $10 or whatever, thats a HECK of a lot better then having to get towed back to the truck over a dead battery!

you can get them from yamaha or mpi both are the same both plug into a headlight of a 2 or 4stroke.:beer;

heres a thought

Ive never seen one, but here is the deal.. most all sleds, (with a few exceptions) have AC powered headlights. AC power will not charge a battery or turn over the starter..

I have a set
Plug them into headlights and charges batt on sled.
never have used them
The one time I needed them I had the wrong pack.
Green Cables sold by MPI

I have the one from MPI. They work great.

One morning in West Yellowstone it was -45 and I got the TRX-1 to fire once and it died. Just not enough juice with a cold battery. Put the jumper on the headlight of the sled next to me and let it sit and run for a couple minutes and mine fired right off. Just don't try and start the 4-stroke with the cable still on or you will fry the 2-choke.

I carry it with me in my backpack just in case. I have rolled the sled over several times and it took a lot of cranking to get it to clean out and run right. Well worth the piece of mind.

I stand corrected. looks like a good idea for the E starter only sleds.

yeah, they are a must for my setup as i can almost gaurantee that im going to mess something up and it will load up and kill the battery trying to start it. i roll over a LOT doing dumb crap, so it seems inevitable. the peice of mind is worth a lot, a day lost over somethihng like this is SO dumb.

and definately a e-start only motor... not gonna happen with a rope, unless you want to pull your arm off, like totally detach it!
