Headlight/ hand warmer switches????

Why are these switches in such a dumb spot? Yet the reverse button is on the handlebars. Had my first ride on new sled (RMK pro) in the dark. Is it safe to switch to low beam when someone's coming at you? I know they've been like this for a few years and pro taper bars are so cool but come on. Maybe I'm lazy.

If it comes down to me having an accident because I tried dimming the lights... It ain't happening. They're staying on hi.

So they're out of the way while you're riding. A lot of people with the switches on the bars bump them and get frustrated from having to switch them back to where they want them.

I think the RMKs are designed for the mountains, not trail riding; and I'm glad they are doing this.

I'd rather have all the switches off the bars, out of the way, where I'm not breaking them and accidently hitting them all the time. TBH, I don't think I've ever used the light dimmer switch...

Props to Polaris for doing this right. Not sure if Doo caught on to this yet.. Actually, the S and ZX chassis had it right, then the Rev went the wrong way.

Exactly!

I don't mind having my headlight switch on the console, but I actually prefer having my hand/thumb warmer switches on the bars, like all my previous Poos.

Done fishing. Let's go sledding !!

I just spent a bunch of money converting my Cat to a Polaris style set up. They've got the best mountain specific bar setup by far. I guess you can't please everyone.

i think they did great on that set up. The only bad part i find is when ur flying down a field and try flipping through the mode sets thats a pain in the butt for me, With the hand warmers its not a big deal with the alluminum bars they dont get to hot so keep em on high and with the lights well they can stay on hi to thats my opinion

I just came from a XP summit and had a 03 ZX summit before that. The worst feature in my opinion was the rocker switches for the warmers. I was always bumping them and shutting them off. The Polaris style would have been better, but I like the new style.

Hand Warmers r fine down there I would trade the reverse button for the mode button though nothing I'd spend money or time on though

Thats actually a great idea. I use the mode button (to change my temp/mph/max mph display) a lot more than reverse/lights/hand warmers.
And accidently hitting that button wouldn't cause any problems...
TBH, I've never accidently reversed with the Pro (it did happen on Revs and ZXs).

What I'd really like Polaris, is if you always displayed the engine Temp in the corner. We all know how finicky the cooling solution is on the Pro...this would be a good way for EVERYONE to know and understand it. Would cause less problems I think.
So then I could watch MPH, RPM, and temp, all at once. Please? :)
