Headlight Delete

How are the skinz headlight deletes working out
on the new chassis? Anyone loosing hand warmers ect...?

Kinda been wondering the same things as I have been tossing around the idea of doing the headlight delete. Is there anything that needs to be done with the extra spike in voltage without having the headlights hooked up or do u just unplug it and run with it

100+ miles on mine with no headlights and no resistor. Handwarmers work fine. Sled runs great. Prob not the safest, but not worried about and havent worried about it on the last 4 sleds.

Check the thread in the PRO-RIDE section. think most guys were using ebay

Not sure yet what the difference is on the AXYS LED headlight connectors, electrical supply/regulation/rectification yet... dont have the wiring diagram etc yet on it.

The LED would run on 12 DC whereas the ProRide RMK's were AC...and higher wattage... HMM... Something to ponder.

If anyone has better intel... I'd love to hear/see it.

For what u want to take from this I talked to chris burandt on the headlight delete kit cuz I see he sells it off burandt backcountry and he said on all of his mod sleds that he has done the delete kit on he has done nothing with resistors just unplugs the lights and installs the alum filler plate and has had zero problems

Looks like the stocker weighs about 2.16 lbs. Done on a very accurate scale. I was going to do the headlight delete but for 2 lbs and how awesome that LED headlight works definitely has me wondering if it's worth it.

Only losing a little over 2 lbs? Wow! Seems silly to do this, when all you need to do is eat 4 less cheese burgers, save some money, AND have a great headlight to use when needed. It's a no-brainer =)

A guy that gets all his stuff for free or is even paid to use it...is the last guy I'd take advice from... If he blows his ecu from it over heating by taking that load out of the system Polaris will just send him a new one and he can ride one of his 20 other sleds while it gets fixed by his mechanic, where as the rest of us have to pay $$ for a new ecu and pay the shop or spend our own time fixing it...

Not worth the risk over adding a $5 resistor

At 2.16 lbs less the probably .25-.5 lbs for the removal plate... I'd leave it in too... Unless you need it for some kind of Turbo intake/cooler.

Dang, that thing is lightweight.
