Heading to Togwotee today 2/13/2011

Never been.
Girlfriend and I are from Tahoe and headed to Montana. Snow was ok, not great in and around Bozeman.
Instead of heading home we are on our way to Togwotee -- we are driving right now.
Don't know where we are riding or staying....

Any suggestions?
Snow conditions?
We aren't chute rippers just boondockers, tree riders, looking to make pow turns, deep sidehills, downhill uturns etc....

Either Togwotee Mtn Lodge or Lava Mtn Lodge are probably your best bet. Ride right from your room at either place.

Now we know why all the hype about togwotee.

Had one day to ride and we did 92 miles from 7am to 5pm.

Found some deep sugar snow in the trees and shadows.

Expecting 3-4 feet in Tahoe this week! Good to be home.
