Heading to McCall February 9th-12th need advice!!!

Me and my fam are heading to McCall this upcoming weekend and i was wondering what the snow conditions are like there? i know here in Washington we've had a sub-par winter so far, hopefully things are better over there.
We booked our room at the Bear Creek Lodge which i believe you can hit the trails right from there? We're are looking for some advice as to which trails to take.. it will be our first time to McCall, we're kind of looking for an easy scenic route with some nice play areas along the way (hill climbs, meadows.. etc.) nothing to technical since our mom will be riding with us. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

great place to ride from

Hi, first of all, you made the right decision on where to stay, Bear Creek Lodge is a great place to stay and ride from. You can ride out from your room there; they have fuel, state stickers and are great hosts.

There are 3 different directions to ride to from the lodge, to the west up Red Ridge, (easy run), up north towards Brundage Ski Hill, (easy for a ways) or around the mountain to the east then north. Again easy run.

You can get off the groomed trails almost any where in the play areas and it has been good snow, and there is plenty of it.

Bring your swimming suit and ride into Burgdorf Hot Springs for a swim or over to Meadows Valley to Zims Hot Springs, (drive or ride sleds), both great places.

Go to “http://www.snowmobilemccall.net/" and click on the maps page and download and print the map or pick up one at the lodge. The trails are shown and are easy to follow. The grooming report is there and is updated constantly.

Any snow reports? We're headed there this weekend and so far it doesn't look like much new snow. Looks like might see some new this weekend. Just curious on best area to head toward.

We haven't had fresh snow for going on a month. Bear Creek is VERY cool, I took a night run over from Warren Wagon for grins the other night, the trails starts/ends right at their front door. There are pockets of untracked around, but nowhere near the groomed trails, and you have to look for them pretty hard. BUT, the trail system here is AWESOME, and always groomed. It has been 32-50 degrees in town every day for the last 1-2 weeks, cold as ballz at night, at least last night. 8 this morning. Basically spring conditions, when it gets warm the snow is ok, after it mushes up. Not to deter anyone, but it is NOT the riding McCall is known for in any way.
The positives, are it has been sunny almost every day and I will say it again, the groomers here are AWESOME! We ran into one of them on the last full moon on a night ride, we had 8 miles of corduroy going up the hill. He went back down while we went out, ran into him again coming back up the trail. Confusing story short, 16 miles of fresh trail with ZERO tracks on it, lol. Most fun of the night.
