Heading to Mcall 1/9/16

A buddy and I are heading down to Mccall this weekend, wondering which parking lot would be the best for Snowbikers? We are heading down from Lewiston early Sat 1/9 and wondering if anyone else with snowbikes would want to meet up? We have Beacons, probes, gps, shovels and lots of energy

I'm not a snow biker...

Upper Elevation (Titus) Parking Lot on the road to Brundage Ski Area fills up early on weekends. It is population with people who are looking for off trail riding. West Face Parking Lot is just off Hwy 55 across from Bear Creek Lodge. You can access the Upper Elevation area from there too. Wallace Lane Parking Lot is on the New Meadows side and can be accessed by taking Cemetery Road from Hwy 55 north to Wallace Lane. It access the back side of Granite. Francis Wallace (Warren Wagon Road) Parking Lot, takes you in to Burgdorf Hot Springs, Secesh Stage Stop and Warren (nothing open this winter). You can also use the Brush Creek (Warren Wagon Road) and take the back route up Pearl Creek or Green Gate (Warren Wagon Road) Parking Lot which access the east side of Brundage Mountain/Brundage Lookout area. Tamarack Falls Parking Lot (Donnelly) accesses West Mountain. It is popular with snow bikers. Anderson Creek Parking Lot (Cascade) access the south end of West Mountain. Wellington (Smiths Ferry) will allow you to ride in the Packer John area east of Hwy 55 and on up into High Valley (to the west). Warm Lake Parking Lot is just past the lake. You can ride up to Landmark and down Johnson Creek into Yellow Pine or up to Deadwood Summit and on into the Stanley Basin. They just groomed that route earlier this week. Enjoy your time in the area.
